It is critical that the state’s Chief Financial Officer be someone committed to ensuring our tax dollars are spent for the good of the people of Texas. She is committed to protecting funding for public schools, exposing unnecessary health care costs, stopping the long practice of no-bid contracts to wealthy donors, and halting giveaways to AI data centers. Sarah has experience fighting corruption, defending the constitutional rights of Texans and making sure everyone competes on a level playing field.
Sarah is an attorney with over twenty years of experience in local and state government. She is in her third term as a state senator. She was the first woman elected Travis County Judge, the top executive for Texas’ fifth largest county. In that role, she delivered balanced budgets, cut property taxes, and secured better health insurance for over 4,000 employees under her leadership.
Sarah Eckhardt has stated she will act as a fiscal watchdog for Texas and make the necessary changes so the people can see how their taxes are used. It is more important than ever that Texas elect an experienced executive. Sarah Eckhardt is that candidate.
