The Texas Railroad Commission is one of the most important government agencies in the state. It regulates the oil and natural gas industry, pipeline safety, natural gas utilities, surface mining operations, and critical groundwater conservation.
Jon has over twenty-five years working in the oil and gas industry. He has served four terms in the Texas House where he fought for good jobs, reliable energy and clean air and water. Some of Representative Rosenthal’s proposed priorities as a Texas Railroad Commissioner include a more reliable power grid, transparent billing, fair and affordable gas utility rates, safer groundwater and air, and elements of both state and local control with data centers.
Candidate Jon Rosenthal is exceptionally qualified for this position. As a mechanical engineer with direct industry experience, he is the only candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission who has worked in the field he would regulate.
